Lal Chand Ustad’s “Hawa Mahal,” which was created in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, was modelled after the crown of the Hindu god Krishna. It has a remarkable five-story exterior with intricate latticework that resembles the honeycomb of a beehive and 953 tiny windows, known as Jharokhas.
